Au Revoir Paris, Hello New York

I'm heading to New York in my mid-year uni break. Yes, last year was Paris and I don't know if New York can top such a beautiful city but I'm extremely overwhelmed and excited about this cause it's now only about a month away. The Australian dollar has been sky-rocking to the moon these days and I'm glad it's happening the year we decide to go. I'm going to pack as little as possible in the hope that I'll bring butt loads back. Although I do get the feeling that minimalising my luggage will be tricky since I always have the urge to take everything with me. I'll be spending my 20th birthday in New York with family but I will be without friends this year, which is a bit of a downer but lets hope I meet some friendly Americans that can fill the gaps. I'm slowly starting to make a list of the stores I'll be stopping by, woohooo.

Winter is my favourite season but I've been spending all my breaks overseas therefore doubling my summers.. but it's ok, because I'll only be gone for a couple of weeks but will still have plenty of time for the coats and jackets when I get back to Sydney.

I took this photo on Bastille day in July Paris last year. The view was from Trocadéro. We stood there for about 3-4hrs waiting for fireworks and I was quite cold thanks to my bright idea to wear a singlet even though I had the background knowledge that it had been raining earlier that day. Nonetheless, it was well worth it cause the fireworks that night was spectacular.
